Research Area

Gases and particles in the atmosphere can both impact human health and modify the climate. The formation and destruction of the relevant substances is governed by the chemical processing of natural and human driven emissions. My interest within atmospheric chemistry is on the drivers of this chemical processing of the fuel of emissions. I’m especially interested in those substances which readily move between the gas and particulate phases and/or are otherwise recycled and play a catalytic role. At present I am focusing on nitrogen and halogens in this context.
