Prof. Guojun He wins two best paper awards

Prof. Guojun HE’s working paper, “The Effect of Air Pollution on Mortality in China: Evidence from the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games” (jointly with Maoyong FAN and Maigeng ZHOU),  won the Young Scholar Best Paper Award in the International Paper Competition on China’s Urban, Housing and Environmental Issues. The conference was held during 6-7 June in the Tsinghua University, and was co-organized by the Tsinghua University Hang Lung Center for Real Estate and MIT Center for Real Estate. His another working paper, “Do College Graduates Serving as Village Officials Help Rural China?” (jointly with Shaoda WANG), won the Gregory Chow Best Paper Award in the 2015 Chinese Economists Society (CES) Annual Conference during 12-14 June. The Gregory Chow Best Paper Award was established to award outstanding papers presented in CES conferences in the honorary of Professor Gregory CHOW’s (Princeton University) contribution to China’s economic transition and to the CES.
