Visit by United Nations Resident Coordinator to China

We were honored to host Siddharth CHATTERJEE, United Nations (UN) Resident Coordinator in China, and our Council Member Prof. Poman LO to explore cutting-edge collaborations in climate resilience, AI, and sustainable development at HKUST.

President Prof. Nancy IP welcomed the delegation, highlighting HKUST’s mission to pioneer technology-driven solutions for pressing global issues. Our Division of Environment and Sustainability (ENVR) key faculty - including Prof. Jimmy FUNG, Associate Provost (Teaching & Learning) & Chair Professor of ENVR; Prof. Alexis LAU, Head and Chair Professor of ENVR & Tang Junyuan Professor of Environmental Science; and Prof. Fei CHAN, Associate Head & Professor of ENVR, showcased our joint efforts with the UN on vital topics like climate change, air quality, and global health.
