MSc Students Visiting the O-Park1

On 13 March 2024, a group of MSc students in the Environmental Science and Management (EVSM) program visited the O-Park 1 on Lantau Island.  This visit enhanced student's understanding on the philosophy, objectives and operations of food waste management in Hong Kong. The concepts of 'Zero Waste', 'Waste to Energy' and 'Responsible Consumption' are lively shared through the exhibitions, animations and demonstrations. Students also enjoyed the workshop on Beeswax for food wrap. The visit is an experiential one and students are more aware of the integrated planning and management in addressing food waste issue in Hong Kong.
